The region stretching from Bratislava to the Wachau, around Eisenstadt and Lake Neusiedl, from Vienna and the Vienna Woods to St. Pölten and the Traisental valley has a long shared history. This includes Jewish history marked by a cycle of settlement, prosperity, and expulsion. It continues to the present day and is evident in former synagogues, cemeteries, residential buildings and stories.
Since 2025, the "Smart Map of Jewish History" has been developed as an innovative digital resource with new e-tools and 3D visualizations to tell this history.
The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
Die Region von Bratislava bis zur Wachau, um Eisenstadt und den Neusiedler See, von Wien und dem Wienerwald bis nach St. Pölten und in das Traisental ist durch eine lange, gemeinsame Vergangenheit verbunden. Ein Teil davon ist die jüdische Geschichte, die, geprägt vom Wechsel zwischen Ansiedlung, Blüte und Vertreibung, bis in die Gegenwart sichtbar ist – in Form von (ehemaligen) Synagogen, Friedhöfen, Wohnhäusern und Erzählungen. Mit der „Smart Map of Jewish History" wird seit 2025 ein digitales Werkzeug mit innovativen E-Tools und 3D-Visualisierungen entwickelt, um diese Geschichte zu erzählen.
Das Projekt wird aus dem Europäischen Fonds für Regionale Entwicklung kofinanziert.
Región rozprestierajúci sa od Bratislavy po Wachau, okolo Eisenstadtu a Neziderského jazera, od Viedne a Viedenského lesa až po St. Pölten a údolie Traisental, spája dlhá spoločná minulosť. Jej neoddeliteľnou súčasťou sú aj židovské dejiny, poznačené obdobiami osídľovania, rozkvetu a vyhnanstva, ktorých stopy sú viditeľné dodnes – v podobe (bývalých) synagóg, cintorínov, obytných domov a zachovaných príbehov. „Inteligentná mapa židovských dejín" je digitálny projekt využívajúci inovatívne elektronické nástroje a 3D vizualizácie, ktorý sa od roku 2025 postupne rozvíja s cieľom sprostredkovať tento jedinečný príbeh.
